Cursor
Note: the Kernl team has not tested this recipe in Cursor yet. The format below comes from Cursor's own documentation. If it does not work for you, tell us.
Add Kernl to mcp.json
Cursor reads MCP servers from ~/.cursor/mcp.json. It supports a URL with headers directly, so you do not need a bridge.
{
"mcpServers": {
"kernl": {
"url": "http://localhost:3086/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer <token>"
}
}
}
}
Replace <token> with the output of your token command. See First run. Restart Cursor after you save.
If it does not connect
Check the token first. A missing or wrong token gives 401 Unauthorized. See Troubleshooting.
