Are the paid extensions open source?
The whole core (60+ modules) is Apache-2.0, fully open — audit it, fork it, run it forever. The extra extensions are commercial: they ship as compiled JS plus a signed manifest inside a .kernlext bundle, verified offline by the kernel.
One-time purchase or All-Access — what's the difference?
A one-time purchase means you own that extension forever, updates included. All-Access is a subscription that unlocks every paid extension — plus every new one we release — while you're subscribed. Buy à la carte for one or two; subscribe for the whole shelf.
Does the license phone home?
No. The license is a JWT signed offline. The kernel verifies its signature against an embedded public key — no network call needed. You can run an air-gapped install.
What happens if I cancel All-Access?
Any extension you bought à la carte stays yours forever. All-Access-only extensions return a friendly "subscription required" message and lock, while the free core keeps working exactly as before.
What's in the install + support service?
We install Kernl on your server (or one we manage), wire up your channels, LLM keys and data, and run a 1:1 onboarding call so it works end to end. An optional monthly retainer covers updates, monitoring and hands-on help. Email contact@lifekernl.com for a quote.
How do updates work?
Bought à la carte: you get updates to that extension. On All-Access: every extension updates automatically, and new releases land in your library at no extra cost.
Refunds, VAT and sales tax?
14-day refund, no questions asked. VAT and sales tax are handled automatically by Stripe Tax — the price you see is what you pay; local tax is itemised on the invoice.
